The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. It is responsible for 20 % of worldwide water pollution and 10 % of CO2e emissions. At the same time, 65 % of textiles are made of fossil fuels and 92 million tons of clothing end up in landfills every year. Without a change of this state of the fashion industry, people cannot face global challenges such as climate change, lack of drinking water or biodiversity loss. That is why we decided to change that.
Sustainability

_circular clothing

The production of raw materials and the generation of waste are the two phases of the life of clothing that have the greatest negative impact on our planet. We have developed circular clothing, which the impact of these two phases eliminates. How?

You will return the clothes to us after wearing them, we will fully recycle them and make new ones. That eliminates waste and saves raw materials. As a result, our clothing has the lowest impact of all commonly available textile materials.

_in harmony with nature

To achieve the circularity, we developed new textile material called NILPLA®. It is bio-based material made of corn or sugar cane. Thanks to the recycling, we use these resources only at the begining and than we just keep them in a loop.

In the field of textiles, NILPLA® material together with circular nylon are textiles with the lowest environmental impacts according to the HIGG Index. Circularity then takes sustainability to a whole new level, where thanks to it the material in the production and waste phase achieving:

  • 75% lower carbon footprint in the production and waste phases compared to polyester.
  • 98% less water compared to cotton
  • Elimination of textile waste

„Sustainability is very popular word. And we ask, what is the sustainability? We ask ourselves, experts, customers,… and we make a commitment to never stop asking. Our mission is to identify what environmental, social and economic impacts are truly sustainable, which are not, and to develop accordingly. Nilmore® aims for sustainability in all its activities and products. What's more, where we can, we don't just want to maintain the current situation, but have a regenerative effect."
